The Proof of Bella’s Conflict
As human being, Bella can’t be separated from conflicts that exist in human live. It could be an internal conflict or may be an external conflict. In the New Moon novel, Bella’s conflicts are divided into two categories. They are Bella’s internal conflict and external conflict. Bella’s internal conflict happened since Bella battled with some elements of her own personality. While external conflict refers to which occurs when Bella is forced to struggle against other characters.
Bella’s internal conflict happens when Bella gets bad dream about her life in the next future. She met her grandmother that dead six years ago. Than Bella realize that grandmother’s face was drawing her face in future. At the same time, Bella will celebrate her eighteenth birthday. Bella realizes that she was older than Edward, her boyfriend. It can be found in the following quotation:
“There was no Gran. That was me, me in mirror. Me---ancient, creased, and withered, Edward stood beside me, casting no reflection, excruciatingly lovely and forever seventeen.And now that I had hit, it was even worse than I’d feared it would be. The statement above shows Bella’s internal Conflict arises from her dreams that Bella fells older than Edward, her boyfriend. Consequently, she has to avoid her eighteenth birthday in seventeenth of September. Because the day shows that Bella is older than Edward clearly. In fact, she has to face hard debate with Edward and Alice when she shares about her problem that the day she gets older. Bella does not want it will be, because this will not be suit couple both of them. It can be found in the statement below:

Based on the quotation above, it is clear that Bella’s internal conflict makes her confused and hopples what has to do to overcome her conflict. Whatever, Bella asks Edward to take her soul and changed to be a vampire like him. So, Bella will be a part of Cullen’s family. But Edward doesn’t agree her. It can be find the statement below:

“As the day progressed, I considered ways to get out of whatever was going down at the Cullen house tonight. It would be bad enough to have to celebrate when I was in the mood to mourn. But worse than that, this was sure to involve attention and gifts. Attention is never a good thing, as any other accident prone klutz would agree. No one wants a spotlight when they are likely on their face.
The quotation above shows that Bella has undergone conflict. The conflict is existing and fluctuating. Consequently, the conflict gives impact to the other people who stay beside her. Like Bella and Edward watch a Romeo and Juliet movie together in Bella’s house. They have debated about human is easy to die, just drinking a poison, Edward said. Then, Bella offends and be angry heard about the statement. Consequently, Edward has been being sad when Bella angry. Even, Edward is ready to kill himself when he sees Bella angry or sad. It happens when Bella has seen her face drawing in as her grandmothers on the dream. Consequently, she always avoids her birthday party but she can’t do it. Edward has even offered anything for Bella in her birthday party. Then, Bella asked him to change herself to be vampire. It could found the following statement:
“Edward decide to change the subject. “so, if you won’t let me get you the Audi, isn’t there anything that you’d like for your birthday?” the words come out in whisper.” You know what I want.” A deep frown carved creases into his marble forehead. The obviously wished he’d stuck to the subject of Rosalie, It felt like we had this argument a lot today. Not thing, Bella. Commonly, every people are happy when they want to celebrate their birthday. But it’s contradictory to Bella’s birthday. She avoids everything related to her birthday party. In other hand, she can’t avoid a party which is created by Alice and Cullen’s house. Consequently, Bella gets bad tragedy that has happened at that time. It begins when Bella’s fingers slices a paper while she opens a gift from Alice. Finally, the vampires in the Cullen’s house have tried to kill her. However the condition makes Edward sad and regret. It could be found the following statement:
“The silence was making me insane.” Say something,” I finally begged as he turned onto the freeway. What do you want to me to say?” he asked in detached voiced. I cringed at his remoteness. Consequently, Edward realizes that the girl who died was Bella. He decides to go to Italy to provoke Voltery and kill him. It can be found in the following quotations:

Bella’s internal conflict begins since Bella met her grandmother in her dreams. Whereas, It is seventeenth of September for her birthday. But Bella avoids the birthday party because at that time she feels older than Edward her boyfriend. This internal conflict gives impact to herself. She doesn’t want someone celebrate her birthday. It can be found in the following statement:
